This piece takes place in the stairwell of the Center for Integrated Technology at Rhode Island School of Design. The stairwell connects the six floors of two separate buildings. It is an impersonal and utilitarian space. However, it is used by many people to get to and from very personal spaces where they create their work.

MemoryLoss creates a personal experience shared by the performer and the viewer in an otherwise impersonal space. Creating a live event in an existing context shows how our experiences define the meaning of the spaces we inhabit.
